Ortal (singer)

Ortal (* in Israel as Marie Ortal Malka ) is a French singer and participant in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 .

She started singing when she was 16 and performed in bars and restaurants. From 2000, she lived in Spain for two years, where she joined the combo Gipsy Sound . As a largely unknown singer, she represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kiev with the fast R&B song Chacun Pense à Soi (German: Everyone thinks of himself) with which she was only able to reach second to last place.
