Serge Lama
Serge Lama (* 11. February 1943 in Bordeaux , France ; actually Serge Chauvier ) is a French chanson - singer and - songwriter . He had his first big hit in the French charts in 1968 with D'aventure en aventure (from the debut album of the same name). His greatest success by far is the song Je suis malade (1974), which made it to number one and was also a great success in Dalida's version . Again and again young French-speaking interpreters sing this chanson, which places high demands on vocal and emotional skills.
Live and act
Lama recorded his first singles in 1964. His debut album D'aventures en aventures was released in 1968. In 1971 Lama represented his homeland at the Eurovision Song Contest in Ireland with the title Un jardin sur la terre , which only ended up in tenth place. In the following years he also wrote song lyrics for artists such as Marie-Paule Belle , Mireille Mathieu , Gilbert Bécaud and Melina Mercouri .
Other big hits were La Chanteuse à vingt ans (1973), Les ports de l'Atlantique , the number one chanson Mourir en France (1976), Le dernier baiser (1977), Femme, femme, femme (1978) and Napoléon (1982). For many years he has been in demand primarily as an album artist and his regular releases still hit the French charts. In 2004 he brought out the album Pluri elles , whose twelve chansons are interpreted in duets with different singers. These included Lara Fabian , Isabelle Boulay , Anggun and Dalida , among others . The CD contains both old and new compositions. In 2008 his CD L'âge d'horizons was released .
