from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cocktail Chic was a French vocal quartet consisting of the sisters Dominique Poulain , Catherine Bonnevay and their cousins Francine Chanterau and Martine Latorre .

Career

The group formed in the late 1960s. As Les Fléchettes , they were hired as a background choir by Claude François . The band name alludes to his record label Disques Flèche , on which they also released several singles under their band name. With the death of Claude François, the group expired for the time being.

With the new name Cocktail Chic , the group entered the national preliminary round, won it and was therefore allowed to compete as French representative at the Eurovision Song Contest 1986 in Oslo . With the pop song Européennes they only reached 17th place.
