Nicole Rieu

Nicole Rieu (born May 16, 1949 in Chaumont , Haute-Marne ) is a French pop and chanson singer.

Life

Nicole Rieu signed her first record deal with AZ Records in 1969 . In 1973 she moved to Barclay Records and soon had her first single success with the title Je suis . In 1975 she was selected by TF1 to represent France in the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest . Her chanson Et bonjour à toi, l'artiste , written by Pierre Delanoë , reached 4th place. She then had numerous other successful records in France, but interrupted her career in the 1980s to give birth to her son. During this time she published children's songs and a Christmas album. From the late 1990s she released regular studio albums again and had live performances.
