Joëlle Ursull
Joëlle Ursull (born November 9, 1960 in Pointe-à-Pitre ) is a French singer.
Born in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe , she was a singer and founding member of the band Zouk Machine . But she left the group in 1988 to start a solo career. She released her first album Miyel that year . In 1990 she was selected to represent France at the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest in Zagreb . Her ethno-pop song White and Black Blues , with a touch of African rhythms , came second. The single itself became her biggest hit, followed by an album and another in 1993.
She gave birth to two girls in the mid-1990s.
