Fritz Przetak (nickname Itek ; born September 9, 1911 in Wattenscheid ; † January 29, 2004 in Hückeswagen ) was a German football player.

Life

Fritz Przetak, also known as "Itek" in the Ruhr area, began playing football in 1923 at the age of twelve. He started as a student in his parent club Wattenscheid in 1923 and stayed there until 1926. Fritz Przetak then moved to the neighboring SV Höntrop game club , where he joined the first men's team as a 16-year-old. Then he went back to Wattenscheid, which had made it to the Bochum district class as a district class master. The Westphalian trainer Kurt Otto von Schalke 04 noticed Przetak . So he was used for courses and played in Wattenscheid's city team as an 18-year-old. Fritz Przetak played in 1931 after further appointments in Hagen in the B selection against the Lower Rhine, whereby the then DSC coach Heinrich "Heiner" Stuhlfauth nominated him as a middle runner. Later Przetak was appointed to the Westphalian A-team, in one game even as the only non-Schalke player. In 1936, as a West German selection player, he had his sporting climax in the game against East Holland. Also in 1936 Przetak completed his last championship game at SV Höntrop as a half right against Borussia Dortmund , where August Lenz also played, in which he was supposed to pull through the Höppner, who was new to the Höntrop team, on the right wing; this promptly scored the 2-1 winning goal on his submission. With this game Przetak's "coal pot era" ended and he moved to Radevormwald .

Radevormwald

In 1937 Przetak was placed in Radevormwald by TuS board member Egon Osenberg . In 1939 TuS made it to the Remscheid-Solingen district class. In 1942, when the TuS team had to be replenished by numerous young people, they achieved a cup sensation with a 3-0 victory over the then "Gauligist" TuRU Düsseldorf . After that, Fritz Przetak also became a soldier and football matches were almost completely suspended during the war. Fritz Przetak ended his active career in 1949 to become a coach and consultant and only played football in celebrity games.
