The SAC Pilatus is a Lucerne section of the Swiss Alpine Club and with 6424 members (as of January 2020) one of the largest sections of the Swiss Alpine Club . It is one of the largest sports clubs in Switzerland , was founded in 1864 and is headquartered in Lucerne.

Huts
The Pilatus section operates a bivouac , three SAC huts and the Trübsee ski home, these offer simple accommodation for mountaineers, climbers, hikers, nature lovers and, increasingly, for families with children and mountain bikers.
