List of the sections of the Swiss Alpine Club
The list of SAC sections includes all currently 111 sections and 22 subsections of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
When the Swiss Alpine Club was founded in 1863, it consisted of the 7 sections SAC Aarau , SAC Basel , SAC Bern , SAC Diablerets Lausanne , SAC St. Gallen , SAC Tödi and SAC Uto . The SAC Murten was added as the last section in 2017 .
The largest section with 9,529 members (as of January 2020) is the SAC Uto .
With the exception of the canton of Appenzell Innerrhoden , all other cantons have at least one SAC section.
