The Bivouac du Dolent-La Maye also Dolent-La Maye-Biwak is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club section La Gruyère in the Valais Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .
Location and operation
The bivouac is on the east ridge of the three-country mountain Mont Dolent at 2667 m above sea level. M. , halfway between the village of La Fouly in Val Ferret (Switzerland) . It is operated by the La Gruyère section of the Swiss Alpine Club and is not manned.
history
The orange bivouac was built in 1973 on a small moraine hill next to the glacier and is anchored on a pedestal. The interior is simple, functional with some dishes, but no fixed cooking facilities.
Approach
- From La Fouly via Sur la Li (normal route) in 3 hours, 1080 meters in altitude, difficulty level T3.
