The BoundCon is an annual event for the BDSM - fetlock and fetish scene in Munich . The combination of trade fair , show and workshops has been taking place over three days on a weekend in May since 2004 and attracts around 5000 visitors each time. According to press reports, it is the largest event of its kind in Europe.

Similar events in the USA, which took place between 2000 and 2004 in Tampa , Florida, and under the name BondCon in New York City and Las Vegas, are considered to be models for today's BoundCon in Munich . The founder of the Munich trade fair had visited the events in Las Vegas and added a "u" to the name to distinguish it. The first fair in Munich took place in June 2004 in the small Olympic hall. The cult factory was there until 2007, and the Zenith Hall in Freimann has been the exhibition venue since 2008 .

The concept is based on a combination of exhibition stands with sex toys and fetish clothing, public presentations, presentations specially staged for photographers in the VIP area and workshops. Big names from Europe and North America are invited as models and riggers . Matthias TJ Grimme is one of the regular performers . Visitors can come in everyday clothes or fetish outfits, compared to conventional erotic fairs , the atmosphere is described as "much more pleasant". “No drooling guys, nobody tries to rattle you.” Since the first mass, a BDSM play party has been held every Saturday evening .

Since 2016, a smaller event called "BoundOne" has also been offered in autumn.
