The Treschhütte is the lowest mountain hut in the Am Albis section of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC). It is located in the Fellital , a side valley of the Reuss Valley , at 1,475  m above sea level. M. in the Glarus Alps in the canton of Uri in Switzerland .

history

The section Am Albis bought in 1923 the former dwelling of the legendary Urner mountain guide Johann Josef Tresch-Indergand (1835-1902) from the Commune Gurtnellen. In 1947, instead of the dilapidated wooden hut, today's massive block stone building was built approx. 100 m above the previous location on Ronastutz, at the entrance to the Vorder Waldi, and expanded on the valley side in 1984. In 2012, the entrance area of the hut, the sanitary facilities, the rooms and the kitchen were expanded and modernized with an extension.

The hut offers 32 beds (dormitories and two family rooms). The hut is looked after by volunteers from spring to autumn. When visiting a hut in winter or spring, the avalanche situation must be taken into account and the hut manager must be consulted before the visit.
