Werner Simmling

Werner Simmling (born September 27, 1944 in Ochsenhausen ; † June 20, 2019 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

The qualified economist was employed by Daimler AG for 28 years and was most recently head of the Corporate Public Relations department.

Simmling was married and had a son.

politics

Simmling was a district adviser in Stuttgart for many years . In addition, from 2003 to 2009 he was a member of the municipal council of his home parish Hohenstadt .

In the 2009 Bundestag election he achieved 10.33% of the first votes in the constituency of Göppingen and entered the German Bundestag via 14th place on the state list of the FDP Baden-Württemberg. Before that, he ran for the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and the Bundestag several times without success . The re-entry in the federal elections in 2013 did not succeed because the FDP failed at the five percent hurdle.
