The Motterasciohütte ( Italian Capanna Michela Motterascio / German Hut Michela Motterascio ) is a mountain hut of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) owned by the Ticino Section . It is located on the Alpe di Motterascio in the Adula Alps at 2172 m above sea level. M. in the Swiss canton of Ticino .

The hut is located south of the Greina plateau and northeast above Lago di Luzzone and has 72 beds in ten rooms. It is located in the area of the municipality of Blenio in the upper Blenio valley of Ticino and is the starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours.
It was built in 1967, expanded in 1980 and 1990. In 2006 a modern wooden structure with a copper layer was added to the old hut.
Access
In summer the hut can be reached on hiking trails from the Luzzone dam ( 1609 m above sea level ) in two hours, from Campo (Blenio) ( 1215 m above sea level ) in 4 ½ hours and in winter from Campo (Blenio) in five to six hours.
