The SAC Ticino is the Ticino section of the Swiss Alpine Club with its headquarters in Lugano and with 2746 members (as of January 2020) is one of the medium-sized sections of the Swiss Alpine Club . It is one of the larger sports clubs in Switzerland and was founded on April 11, 1886.

Huts

The Ticino section operates four SAC huts and two section-owned huts. These offer simple accommodation for alpinists, climbers, hikers and mountain bikers. The offer is increasingly aimed at families with children.
