The Scalettahütte (Italian Capanna Scaletta ) is a mountain hut of the Ticino Alpine Club (Italian Società Alpinistica Ticinese SAT ) and property of the Lukmanier Section (Italian Sezione Lucomagno ).
description
The hut is located at an altitude of 2205 m at the western entrance to the Greina plateau , not far from the Greina Pass ( 2354 m ). It has 56 beds in three rooms, 16 of which are in the old hut, which is open all year round. It is located in the municipality of Blenio , in Val Camadra, above the Blenio valley in the canton of Ticino and is the starting point for numerous hikes and mountain tours.
It was built in 1995 and expanded in 2008/09 with an extension with a flat roof. The old weather shelter was built in 1948 and was then owned by the Swiss Army .
Access
In summer from the car park on Pian Geirètt ( 2000 m ) in 1 hour, from Ghirone along the Val Camadra in 2.5 hours and in winter from Ghirone in 3 hours.
