The Chalinhütte is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club Section Chaussy in the Savoy Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .
Location and operation
The hut is located north below the Cime de l'Est of the Dents du Midi at 2595 m above sea level. M. . It is operated by the Chaussy section of the Swiss Alpine Club and is not manned.
history
The wooden hut, built in 1958, is one of the five overnight accommodations on the multi-day alpine circular hike around the Dents du Midi. It is one of the smallest huts in the SAC and has only eight beds. There is a possibility to cook on the wood stove, dishes and fondue caquelon. There is no running water. It offers a view of the whole of Chablais , the upper Lake Geneva and the Jura .
