Mustafa Kuzu (actor)

Mustafa Ahmet Kuzu (born January 28, 1987 in Ulm ) is a German actor and screenwriter with a Turkish migration background.

Life

Mustafa A. Kuzu's parents immigrated to Germany from Konya , Turkey , in 1972 . He grew up in Ulm and completed his Abitur in 2008 at the Albert Einstein High School . During his teaching degree at the University of Augsburg , he developed his passion for film and acting. His friendship with director Murat Eyüp Gönältas came about through a theater appearance at the University of Augsburg and subsequent projects at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy . His script for the short film Jagon (2016) was filmed by Gönältas and produced by SWR. The film was shown at the 2016 Genrenale in Berlin and received several awards. Kuzu himself played the role of the antagonist Mylius in the film . The film received a lot of attention in the German genre film scene, so that part of the film even got a cameo in a Tatort episode. In 2019, Kuzu received various international awards for his role as Heman in the short film Chocolate Man .
