The Gaulihütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club SAC in the canton of Bern in Switzerland .

location

The Gaulithütte is located in the upper Urbachtal , 330 meters above the Mattenalpsee , not far from the Gauli Glacier at an altitude of 2205  m above sea level. M.

history

A first hut - today the winter room of the current hut - was built in 1895 by the Englishman Carl Ludwig Lory with 32 places and a few years later it was given to the SAC section in Bern . After an initial expansion in 1939, today's hut was built in 1970.

Access

Access is through the Urbachtal , branching off from the Haslital in Innertkirchen , which can be traveled in the lower part to Mürvorsess .
