The Hangendgletscherhorn is a 3291.9 m high mountain in the northeastern Bernese Alps .
It lies east of the Wetterhorn and south of the Engelhorn and forms the end of the Urbach valley . In the south, the Hangendgletscherhorn is surrounded by the Gauligletscher , to the west it slopes down to the Mattenalpsee (1874 m) with the Tüllenrat. The small Hangend glacier lies on the western flank.
Summit routes
The starting point for an ascent is the Gaulihütte (2205 m), which can be reached from Innertkirchen through the Urbach valley.
The normal route leads through the Chammlibach valley and over the east ridge and is rated as not very difficult .
An easy climbing tour in II. – III leads over the Chammligrat (southeast ridge) . Degree . The starting point is also the Gaulihütte.
In winter, the Hangendgletscherhorn can also be climbed as a ski tour .
