Boxborough (also: Boxboro) is a town in Middlesex County in the east of the state of Massachusetts .

The place is bordered by Littleton in the north, Acton in the east, Stow in the south and Harvard in the west.

In Beaver Valley there is a well-preserved Esker nearly 15 kilometers long .

The city's attraction is its annual Fifer's Day in June in memory of Luther Blanchard, a flute player who was injured in the battle of Concord on April 19, 1775, the first day of the War of Independence . Only two months later he took part in the Battle of Bunker Hill again, was injured again and succumbed to his injuries that same year. The festivities at Flerra Meadows in Boxborough typically begin with a 4 mile (6.4 km) street race followed by a parade, stalls selling hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, etc., music, volleyball tournament, pony rides, balloon rides, Fire demonstrations and a flea market.

An agricultural fair takes place in September. There is also a local museum.
