Kevin Kapstad (born February 12, 1986 in Boxborough , Massachusetts ) is a former American ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with EHC Linz from the Austrian Ice Hockey League (EBEL) .

Career

Kapstad studied from 2005 to 2009 at the University of New Hampshire and played parallel for their ice hockey team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . After he had only completed three games in his debut season, he established himself in the following period as a regular in the defensive department of the New Hampshire Wildcats and he managed to increase his points yield every season. After completing his studies, he was committed to the 2009/10 season by SC Riessersee , for which he went on the ice for a season in the 2nd Bundesliga .

After their relegation to the league after the end of the 2009/10 season, Kapstad decided to leave the club and a short time later hired the Landshut Cannibals . First he signed a contract for one season, which was extended for another season in March 2011 after the American had established himself as a regular at the Landshut Cannibals.

He ended his career in May 2019.
