The Cabane de l'A Neuve was built as Cabane Dufour a La Neuvaz (dt. Dufour hut (on Neuvaz) ) in 1927 with a bequest from Mr. Edouard Dufour and had 22 places at that time. The hut is owned by the Diablerets ( Lausanne ) section of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC).
The hut has 28 beds. It is the starting point for high-altitude tours in the Swiss part of the Mont Blanc massif . It is easily accessible for hikers from La Fouly . It is located on a small rock spur with a view of the A-Neuvegletscher .
Approach
- From La Fouly ( Val Ferret ) in 3 ½ hours, marked white-red-white, two passages are equipped with chains.
- In winter from La Fouly only with good snow conditions in 3 ½ hours.
