The bivouac at Col de la Dent Blanche also Bivouac de la Dent Blanche or Dent-Blanche-Biwak is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club Section Jaman in the Valais Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

Location and operation

The bivouac is on the pass between Dent Blanche and Grand Cornier at 3540  m above sea level. M. is operated by the SAC section Jaman and is not manned.

history

The hexagonal stone building, built in 1976, is a comfortably furnished bivouac, but without permanent cooking facilities. It is the starting point for high-alpine ridge climbs to the two peaks Dent Blanche and Grand Cornier . The view extends from the Weisshorn over the Zinalrothorn and Ober Gabelhorn to Dent Blanche.
