Sarah Léonie Cysique
Sarah Léonie Cysique or Sarah-Léonie Cysique (born July 6, 1998 in Sarcelles ) is a French judoka .
Sarah Léonie Cysique fights in the lightweight, the weight class up to 57 kilograms. In 2017 she won a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships. Two months later she won her first French championship in the adult class. In 2018 she finished fifth at the European Championships . In September she won the Junior European Championships, a month later she won the silver medal at the Junior World Championships. At the end of 2018 she won her second French championship. At the 2019 World Championships in Tokyo, she lost to the Canadian Christa Deguchi in the quarter-finals . After a win against Nora Gjakova from Kosovo and a loss against the Brazilian Rafaela Silva , she finished fifth. With the French team, she won the silver medal behind the Japanese team. In October 2019 she reached the final at the Grand Slam tournament in Abu Dhabi and finished second behind the North Korean Kim Jin-a .
