The Claridenhütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland .

It is located south of Linthal at 2,457 m above sea level. M. southeast of the Gemsfairenstock on the summit plateau of the Altenorenstock in the Glarus Alps .

The hut, built in 1941 and completely renovated and added on in 2013, offers 72 beds (several 2-3 bed rooms, 2 6 bed rooms and 3 12 bed rooms). The hut is manned from March 1st to the beginning of May for ski and snowshoe tourers. Beginning of the summer season from late June to early October.

The hut is owned by the SAC section Bachtel ( Zürcher Oberland ) and was renovated and expanded in the 1990s.

Ascent

From Linthal train station, the ascent takes about 5 hours via Reitimatt-Alp, Chrummlaui, Chäsboden and Altstaffel.
With the gondola from Urnerboden to the Fisetenpass - then the summer path via Malor - Geissstein to the Claridenhütte. approx. 3 hours
From Urnerboden over the Fisetenpass , Rundloch, Langfirn and Gemsfairenjoch - this is also the winter ascent. This path is only marked with cairns.
From Tierfehd over the Pantenbrücke in the direction of Hintersand, through the sandy forest steeply upwards, along the Walenbach to the hut, approx. 4 hours
