The Tierfed is a place south of Linthal in the Swiss town of Glarus Süd .

The compensation basins for the Linth-Limmern power plants are located near Tierfed . The Hotel Tödi im Tierfed is a cultural asset of regional importance . It was built in 1860 as a spa hotel for the guests of the Stachelberg sulfur bath and is now owned by Axpo Power .
