The Salbithütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) in the Uri Alps . It is located in the Göscheneralptal near Göschenen in the canton of Uri at an altitude of 2105  m above sea level. M.

When it was built in 1931, it offered 28 places, and access in winter was listed as "not safe". In 1966 the hut was expanded according to plans by Jakob Eschenmoser . An extension followed in 1979 and a renovation in 1998.

Since 2010 the route to the Voralphütte and the Salbitschijenbiwak has led over the Salbitbrücke and has been accessible to experienced mountain hikers who are free from giddiness since then.

Approaches

  • From Göschenertal: Ulmi (Salbit post office) or Grit (parking lot) 1195  m above sea level. M. via Regliberg (normal route) in 2 ½ hours, level of difficulty T2. Postbus operation in the summer months (reservation required).
  • From Göschenen train station in 3 to 3 ½ hours, T2.
