The Rottalhütte is a hut of the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC) and is located at 2755 m in the Lauterbrunnen valley in the Bernese Oberland . The hut belongs to the SAC Interlaken section and serves as a starting point for climbing the Jungfrau and the Äbeni Flue . In 2007 the hut celebrated its centenary.

Access

From Stechelberg via the Rottalhütte hut path . Duration 5.5 hours. In snow and ice, access is only reserved for very experienced mountaineers. The first part of the ascent to the Rottalhütte is identical to the ascent to the Silberhornhütte .
