The Sewenhütte is a mountain hut belonging to the Swiss Alpine Club (SAC), Pfannenstiel section, in the canton of Uri ( Switzerland ). The hut, built in 1970, was destroyed by an avalanche in 1973. It was rebuilt in 1974 by Jakob Eschenmoser and rebuilt in 2006.

The Sewenhütte is located at 2150 m above sea level. M. at the southern foot of the Sewenkegel 2400 m above sea level. M. Its position on the right, the sunny side of the plot Terrace Meientals allows a view of the opposite towering highest mountain Uri, the Fleckistock 3416 m above sea level. M. , the Stucklistock and west on the five-finger sticks and the Wendenhorn . Out of the valley you can see the village of Meien.
Approach
From the Gorezmettlenbach 1613 m above sea level. M. on the Uri side of the Sustenpassstrasse , the hiking trail leads past the Gitzichrummenfluh in 1.5 hours to the hut (level of difficulty T2).

The Sewen area is suitable for children's and family mountaineering camps.

- Sewenhütte via Gorezmettlenbach to Sustlihütte ( 2257 m ) in approx. 4 hours

- Crossings: Rot Bergli - Sass Pass - Leutschachhütte SAC (Alpine Route)
- High-altitude tours: Bächenstock - Zwächten - Kröntenhütte / Spannorthütte (route with a high alpine character), Bächenstock ( 3011 m ), Zwächten ( 3078 m )
- Climbing: climbing gardens by the hut (3rd to 6th degree of difficulty), Sewenhorn
