The Capanna Alzasca deutsch Alzascahütte is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club of the Locarno section , in the canton of Ticino and can be reached from Someo or Vergeletto . The ascent from Someo takes 3¼ hours, from Vergeletto it takes 4½ hours. The hut is a suitable starting point for hikes to two mountain lakes or, provided you have the right equipment, to the summit of Pizzo Alzasca 2262 m above sea level. M. In summer it offers three rooms for 25 people. The shelter offers space for 12 people and is open all year round.
