The Violetteshütte is a refuge of the Swiss Alpine Club Montana-Vermala section in the Valais Alps in the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

Location and operation

The hut stands on a rock spur above Montana VS at 2209  m above sea level. M. and is operated and maintained by the Montana section of the Swiss Alpine Club.

history

The view from the stone masonry hut, built in 1994, stretches from Upper Valais via Weisshorn and Matterhorn to Grand Combin and Mont Blanc . It can be reached in summer and winter on foot, from the ski slope, by mountain bike or by cable car.

  • From the Violettes mountain station (normal route) in 2 minutes, level of difficulty T1.
