Ilanz / Glion is a political municipality in the Surselva region of the Swiss canton of Graubünden that was created on January 1, 2014 . It is located on the Vorderrhein in the middle of the wide Gruob hollow , at the entrance of the Lugnez valley , a few kilometers above the Ruinaulta Rhine gorge .

Ilanz / Glion, with the new BFS no.  3619, emerged from the former municipalities of Castrisch , Ilanz (Romansh: Glion), Ladir , Luven , Pitasch , Riein , Ruschein , Schnaus , Sevgein , Duvin , Pigniu , Rueun and Siat .
