Mundaun ( [mʊndaʊ̯n] ^{? / I} ) was, until 31 December 2015, a municipality in the former district Surselva , Kanton Graubünden in Switzerland. It was created on January 1, 2009 from the merger of the former municipalities of Flond and Surcuolm . The former corporation municipality of Mundaun merged with Obersaxen on January 1, 2016 to form the municipality of Obersaxen Mundaun that exists today . The name Mundaun refers to the local mountain Piz Mundaun .

The Obersaxen Mundaun ski area comprises 15 lifts and 120 kilometers of slopes. The highest mountain accessible by chairlifts is the Piz Sezner at 2310  m above sea level. M. The ski lifts link an area around the mountain of Piz Mundauns and southern Piz Sezners in the German area of Obersaxen and Romanch Lumnezia .
