The monastery Święty Krzyż ( German : Kloster Holy Cross ) is situated on the mountain Lysiec in the Holy Cross Mountains ( Świętokrzyskie ). The history of the monastery dates back to 1006 when it was founded by Benedictines . Today it is a monastery of the Missionary Order of the Oblates of the Immaculate Mary ( Misjonarze Oblaci Maryi Niepokalanej ).

On the grounds of the monastery there is the baroque-classicist church (1781), a Gothic cloister from the 15th century and fragments of a Romanesque wall from the 12th century. The relics of the Holy Cross, which gave the monastery its name, are in the Oleśnicki family chapel. Church services and Christmas concerts take place regularly in the church. The monastery can be reached by car from Huta Szklana (only during services) and on foot from Nowa Słupia and Huta Szklana.

The monastery houses the Museum of the Order and the Museum of the Świętokrzyski National Park .

The Święty Krzyż TV tower is located in the immediate vicinity of the monastery .
