Świętokrzyski National Park
The Świętokrzyski National Park [ ɕfʲɛntɔ'kʃɨskʲi- ] ( Holy Cross NP. ) Is one of 23 national parks in Poland ( Poland , Central Europe ).
The National Park , which at 1. May 1950 on 5,909 ha was established area located in the Holy Cross Mountains ( Świętokrzyskie ) in the mountain range Łysogóry . There it is located on average 22 km (as the crow flies ) east of Kielce between the cities of Nowa Słupia and Święta Katarzyna .
The park consists of 95% coniferous and mixed forests . Some mountain slopes are covered with scree slopes "Gołoborze". A 16 km long hiking trail runs through the park from west to east.
The highest point in the Łysiec National Park is Łysiec .
The National Park Museum is located by the Święty Krzyż Monastery on Łysiec Mountain (open from April 1st to October 31st).
