Herz Jesu Monastery (Mindelheim)
The Herz Jesu monastery is an institute of the English Misses in Mindelheim in Bavaria in the diocese of Augsburg . It was founded in 1701 by Duke Max Philipp of Bavaria and his wife Mauritia Febronia and was dedicated to the education of girls . Soon a boarding school was added to the school for girls. Today's Maria Ward Realschule Mindelheim is a state-recognized Realschule for girls. On January 1st, 1997 the sisters handed it over to the schools of the Diocese of Augsburg . The day care center and boarding school will continue to be run by the Maria Ward sisters.
