The Reistingen Monastery was a former canonical monastery in Reistingen , a district of Ziertheim in Bavaria .

The monastery, consecrated to St. Petrus in the 14th century, today: St. Petrus and St. Vitus, was founded by the Counts of Dillingen before 1250 . It was probably a Benedictine monastery until the middle of the 13th century . Century canoness pin . Pope Nicholas V abolished the monastery in 1450 in favor of the episcopal canteen in Augsburg . In 1465 the bishop used part of the income to buy liturgical books for his Dillinger court chapel. The collegiate church is used today as the parish church of St. Vitus .
