Sao Vicente de Fora Monastery

The church or monastery of São Vicente de Fora is a Manueline , originally Romanesque complex of sacred buildings in Lisbon . The first monastery was founded in 1147 as an Augustinian monastery by Alfonso I outside the city walls and dedicated to Saint Vincent of Saragossa . Under Philip II , the church and monastery were given their current appearance.

The Panteão da Casa de Bragança in the monastery is the most important burial place of the Portuguese royal family from the Braganza family . In Panteão dos Patriarcas de Lisboa are Patriarch of Lisbon buried.
