The monastery SS. Trinity is a former monastery of the Piarists in Gunzburg in Bavaria in the diocese of Augsburg .

history

The monastery, consecrated to the Holy Trinity, was founded in 1750 by Empress Maria Theresa at the instigation of the imperial governor Franz Christoph Joseph Freiherr von Ramschwag (1690–1761). After the Peace of Pressburg , the town and monastery became Bavarian in 1806. The monastery was dissolved in 1807 in the course of secularization .
