Touvet Monastery

Touvet Monastery was a French monastery of the Saint Bernard Sisters of Esquermes in Saint-Bernard , Isère , Diocese of Grenoble from 1970 to 2015 .

history

In 1970 the Saint Bernard sisters (motherhouse: La Cessoie monastery ) founded the Notre-Dame des Petites-Roches monastery in Saint-Bernard-du-Touvet , which was elevated to an abbey in 1987 . The monastery, originally intended for the ski holidays of the schools run by the Saint Bernards, had to be abandoned in 2015.
