Miners 'and smelters' band Maria Schnee
The miners and smelters' chapel Maria Schnee is located in Achthal , Teisendorf , Berchtesgadener Land . In front of the church there is a fountain made of Achthaler cast iron from the 19th century. The ensemble includes the former workers' house of the mining and steel works from 1843. All three objects are included in the list of monuments .
The chapel was first built around 1650. It burned down in 1800 and was rebuilt by the Achthal Iron Union, the miners and the ironworkers. From 1820 the chapel is mentioned again in a document.
