Knock Castle (Aberdeenshire)
Knock Castle is a castle to the west of Ballater in the Scottish county of Aberdeenshire . It is located on a hill near the confluence of Glen Muick with the River Dee . The castle consists only of a central residential tower, a ' keep '. It was built by the Gordon clan in the early 17th century . Today it is a ruin.
