The residential building Knopsstrasse 43/45 is in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) in the Westend district .
The building was built in 1879. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach under No. K 019 on May 14, 1985 .
architecture
It is a two-storey, gable -roof-covered eaves house with three window axes with a lintel and a low basement plinth , which is connected to the street corner by a flat-roofed, single-storey extension built on a square floor plan with a sloping corner yoke. The assembly completes an enclosure wall that separates the tree-lined courtyard from Alexianerstraße. The house was built in 1879, the kindergarten in 1905.
In connection with the listed transformer house No. 37-41, the former teacher's house and the extension of the kindergarten form an assembly of urban value.
