Knudshoved Odde is a 15 km long narrow peninsula, northwest of Vordingborg on the Danish island of Zealand , it belongs to the "Rosenfeldt Gods". A rocky beach connects the three kilometer long meadow zone at the outer end with the rest of Knudshoved Odde, which is separated from Zealand by the Avnø Fjord .

Knudshoved Odde is a marginal moraine from the end of the last Ice Age and can be traced further west on the sea floor than the Venegrunde and Kirkegrund. In the past, the outer part of the moraine consisted of a chain of small islands. On Knudshoved Odde, traces of reindeer hunters - the first people in Denmark after the Ice Age - have been preserved more than 14,000 years ago. The flint tools show that they were not hunters and gatherers of the Bromme culture , the penknife groups or the Ahrensburg culture . Archaeologists have excavated two residential areas on Knudshoved Odde, including Eskebjerg (Knudshoved Odde). There are a number of prehistoric monuments from the Neolithic period on the peninsula , including some passage graves ( megalithic structures in Knudsskov ) and dolmens such as Knudsby Stordysse . At the beginning of the peninsula is the Oreby Skov with the long dolmen .

Yellow-bellied toads ( Bombina variegata ) live on Knudshoved Odde , and the peninsula was formerly known for its lichen-eating American bison . These have been replaced by Galloway cattle, which graze all year round and take care of the landscape through grazing. Parts of Knudshoved Odde are part of an EU bird sanctuary .
