Ko He (also: Ko Hae ; Thai : เกาะ เฮ ; in English-speaking countries also Coral Island ) is an island in the Ko-Raya Archipelago about eight kilometers southeast of Ko Phuket .
Administratively, Ko He belongs to the province of Phuket, the island is in the district of Amphoe Mueang Phuket ( อำเภอ เมือง ภูเก็ต ).
The island can be reached by speedboat from Phuket Island in 15 minutes, with long-tail boats the crossing takes around 45 minutes.
Ko He is only inhabited by a few fishermen and to maintain a small tourist infrastructure. The island is overgrown by jungle and has sandy beaches .
The English name Coral Island refers to the coral reefs off the island , which are a destination for divers and snorkelers .
