Properties - use

The phylloxera resistance against the root phylloxera is good. It has a very good graft affinity and excellent rooting ability. The growth is medium to strong like 'Kober 5 BB'. It is therefore only suitable for educational systems with large standing spaces. Has good drought resistance. If the cane load is too high, there is a delay in maturation.

The root system has a good ability to acquire nutrients and is well suited as a base for the varieties from the Burgundy family. It is unsuitable for shallow and compacted soils. The chlorosis resistance is good ( activated lime tolerance ~ 17%, ~ 40% total lime). The rootstock is less suitable for flower-sensitive varieties. She is very sensitive to magnesium deficiency .

Clones

The clones 125AA N501 and 125AA N502 come from seedling families of the cross Vitis berlandieri × Vitis riparia , which were initially selected by Sigmund Teleki in Villány / Hungary and later processed by Franz Kober in Klosterneuburg / Austria. The seedlings were in Rhodt / Pfalz and later in Neustadt / Wstr. and cheap home / Palatinate planted and checked. The clones were registered with the Bundessortenamt on 2006. The maintenance breeder is the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, represented by the DLR Rheinhessen-Nahe-Hunsrück.
