Kocatepe Mosque (Ingolstadt)
The Kocatepe Mosque and Cultural Center in Ingolstadt ( Turkish: Kocatepe Camii ve Kültür Merkezi Ingolstadt ) of DİTİB was opened in Manisa Strasse on May 18, 2008 in northwest Ingolstadt . The construction costs totaled 5.5 million euros. It is the largest mosque in Bavaria .

The "Turkish-Islamic Community of Ingolstadt eV" was founded on May 12, 1987 and today has 540 members.

The mosque is a classic Ottoman domed structure with two minarets 27.5 meters high. The prayer room on the second floor offers space for 800 believers. A gallery floor with 135 m² is reserved for women. The mayor of Ingolstadt's twin town Manisa , who is an architect, was also involved in the design of the complex . The then Lord Mayor of Ingolstadt Alfred Lehmann (CSU) also supported the construction of the mosque. On the opening day there were peaceful protests by some citizens of Ingolstadt.
Cultural center
The floor area is 611 m². In the basement there are storage and sanitary rooms as well as a morgue for funeral ceremonies and washrooms for ritual ablutions ( wudu ' ). On the ground floor there is a grocery store and a restaurant as well as the club bar. On the first floor there are youth rooms, a library, women's rooms with children's rooms, as well as lecture rooms and staff rooms.
In an outbuilding of 420 m² there is a training center and two apartments for a caretaker and the imam.
