Koch triangle

The Koch triangle is the area of ​​the right atrium of the heart in which the atrioventricular node (AV node) is located.

Form the boundaries of this zone

  • the confluence of the coronary sinus ( Ostium sinus coronarii )
  • the edge of the ventricular septum-side tricuspid ( cuspis septalis ) and
  • the Todaro tendon (an extension of the valve of the confluence of the inferior vena cava into the right atrium ( Valvula venae cavae inferioris ) in the direction of the cardiac skeleton ).
