action

Wong Fei Hung ( Jet Li ) travels with his 13th aunt "Aunt Yee" and his student "Seven" to a small town in western America to open a meeting place for the local Chinese. On the journey there, they pick up a cowboy who introduces himself to Seven as Mr. Lincoln. During a rest, the trek is attacked by Indians. Fei Hung is separated from the group and loses his memory when he hits a stone in the river.

Once in town, the newcomers are not welcomed, but find a strong ally in "Mr. Lincoln", who has now become a sheriff's assistant.

Fei Hung now thinks he is an Indian and is accepted into the tribe as a great warrior. One day while visiting town, Yee recognized him. Yee then pursues him to the Indian village and finds out that Fei Hung has given his engagement ring to an Indian woman. Yee then rides away and Fei Hung is urged by the Indians to follow her, because she knows who he is.

When he arrives in town, Yee is about to return to China. Seven tries to refresh his master's memory by fighting in his master's poses and disguising himself as his old enemy "Na Lan Yuan Shu" (general from one of the Once-Upon-a-Time parts). When a burst water barrel makes the master soaking wet in the fight, he slowly remembers everything. Soon after, the "Poo Chi Lam" meeting point opens. The corrupt mayor gets involved in a fake bank robbery with a few villains. The money stolen from this is hidden by a Chinese man who is doing common cause with the mayor in the "Poo Chi Lam" during the opening ceremony. As a result, all Chinese who are in the "Poo Chi Lam" are imprisoned. The owners of the "Poo Chi Lam" are now to be hanged as satisfaction.

While they are being hanged, the villains appear who have meanwhile counted the money and discovered that they were betrayed by the mayor. In the panic that breaks out, Fei Hung manages to free himself and the others. A fight breaks out. When all the villains have been dealt with - Fei Hung fights the head villain - the Indians appear, brought to help by Yee.

At the end, the townspeople celebrate a festival with the Chinese and Indians, and the town is christened China Town.
