Hong Kong Film Award
The Hong Kong Film Awards ( Chinese 香港 電影 金像獎 / 香港 电影 金像奖 , Pinyin Xiānggǎng Diànyǐng Jīnxiàngjiǎng , Jyutping Hoeng 1 gong 2 Din 6 jing 2 Gam 1 zoeng 6 zoeng 2 ) are the most important film prizes awarded in Hong Kong . Since 1982, they have been awarded every year in April in the various categories for cinematic achievements of the previous year in the Chinese-speaking film group ( 華語 電影 界 / 华语 电影 界 ), i.e. films from China , Hong Kong, Macau , Malaysia , Singapore and Taiwan .

The 100 best Chinese films
On the occasion of the centenary of Chinese film , a list of the 100 best Chinese films was published at the 24th Hong Kong Film Awards on March 27, 2005. The 103 films actually selected by 101 filmmakers, critics and film scholars. There are 24 of them from mainland China (11 before 1949, 13 after 1949), 61 from Hong Kong and 16 from Taiwan, as well as one Hong Kong-PR China and one Hong Kong-Taiwan coproduction.
